the newer pins measure
about 1" tall x 1/2" wide
the older pins measure
about 1/2" tall x 1/4" wide

Differences between the new pins and old pins...

     #1:   The new pins are larger.
     #2:   Old pins came in a box, the new pins will come on a card.
     #3:   The new pins are shinier.
     #4:   I don't poke myself with the newer pins as often
             as I used to with the older pins.
